This is a pixel art, top-down, Farming /adventure game where the player gets a farm and has to discover what is causing the darkness to cover a nearby town.

Genre/Story/Mechanics Summary:

• The setting of this game is an earth-like world, but it is not earth.  There will be plants, animals, and other creatures that are unique to this world.  The theme is sci-fi/fantasy.

• The player finds themselves in a small town with control of the local farm.  The town seems a little off and the people there are afflicted with some sort of darkness that they can’t seem to shake.  The player searches for the answers while attending to the needs of the villagers and their farm.  They search the forests, deserts and lakes and use the tools they collect on the way.

• This game will be similar to other farming simulators, but it will have puzzles that the player has to solve while using tools and the environment.  Also, while this game will have the ability to create relationships with the NPC’s, it will have a system that indicates the emotional state of the NPC’s.  For example, if the player doesn’t have a relationship to “Dan” by a certain time in the game, then Dan commits suicide because he was so lonely and nobody seemed to care about Dan, or if Sherri, an elderly widowed woman, isn’t befriended by the player by a certain time, then she becomes a recluse.
